Clover Island Concert Series 2026 Food Truck & Vendor Guide
Thank you for your interest in being part of the Clover Island Concert Series at Clover Island Inn in Kennewick, Washington. The series takes place on Clover Island along the Columbia River and has become a long-running summer tradition in the Tri-Cities. Emerald Spark Events produced 25 concerts in 2025 and is continuing the series in 2026 with a mix of free midweek shows and ticketed concerts in a waterfront setting that brings together music, dining, and community.
This guide is for food trucks and other approved mobile or event-based vendors who want to serve guests during the 2026 season.
About the Series
The Clover Island Concert Series serves a broad audience over the course of the summer. In 2025, attendance ranged from about 250 to 700 guests per show, depending on the night and the act. Wednesday shows tended to draw families, casual attendees, boaters, hotel guests, and people stopping by after work. Sunday shows tended to draw more concentrated adult concert audiences, often arriving in couples or groups and spending more per person on food and beverages.
Clover Island itself is a year-round destination with marina traffic, lodging, dining, scenic walking areas, and other built-in activity, which makes the setting distinct from a typical parking-lot concert venue.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking vendors who can help create a smooth, high-quality guest experience. Good fit vendors generally offer:
* Fast, reliable service during busy windows
* A clean and attractive setup
* Friendly, professional customer service
* Clear menu pricing
* Strong communication before event day
* Full compliance with health, safety, and permitting requirements
We are especially interested in vendors whose offerings are easy to serve in an outdoor concert environment and work well for guests who may be eating at tables, standing, or carrying food back to their seats.
Examples may include:
* Food trucks
* Coffee or specialty nonalcoholic beverage vendors, if approved for a given event
* Snack vendors
* Prepackaged specialty food vendors
* Limited non-food vendors that complement the guest experience
Event Types
Wednesday Community Shows
May 27, June 3, 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, August 5, 12, 19
These shows are generally free to attend and tend to bring a wider mix of families, locals, after-work visitors, and people who may decide to come over casually. This can be a strong fit for vendors with approachable price points, quick service, and family-friendly menu items.
Sunday Ticketed Shows
May 31, June 14, July 19, August 9
These shows tend to draw more intentional concertgoers, including adults who plan ahead, reserve tables, and often spend more per person.
What Vendors Can Expect
While each show is different, vendors should plan for:
* Outdoor setup on a waterfront site
* A load-in and load-out schedule assigned by the event team
* Service during the main guest arrival window, peak dinner period, and concert break periods
* Placement determined by the event organizer based on guest flow, power access, safety, and overall site design
* Coordination with event staff on arrival, parking, and operations
Vendors should be prepared for variations in crowd size based on weather, artist draw, day of week, and competing regional events.
Vendor Requirements
All vendors selected for the series will be expected to meet the following standards.
1. Licensing and Compliance
Vendors must provide all required current licenses, permits, and certifications applicable to their business and the jurisdiction in which they are operating. This may include, as applicable:
* Business license
* Health permits
* Temporary event permits
* Washington State food worker card(s)
* Fire safety compliance for cooking equipment
* Proof of insurance
2. Insurance
Vendors should be prepared to provide a certificate of insurance meeting the event’s requirements, including general liability coverage. Additional insured language may be required depending on the final vendor agreement and site requirements.
3. Self-Contained Setup
Unless otherwise arranged in writing, vendors should assume they must be self-contained. That includes:
* Power
* Water
* Lighting
* Extension cords and hoses rated for event use
* Wastewater containment
* Trash handling within the vendor space
If power is requested, it must be approved in advance and cannot be assumed.
4. Staffing
Vendors must bring enough trained staff to handle peak service without creating excessive wait times. A long line is one thing. A stalled line that keeps people from enjoying the show is another.
5. Cleanliness and Appearance
Vendor spaces must be kept clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the event. Vendors are responsible for keeping their immediate area free of grease, litter, loose packaging, and trip hazards.
6. Menu and Pricing
Vendors may be asked to submit a sample menu and price range in advance. We aim for a mix of offerings across the series, so approval may depend in part on menu balance, duplication, and guest fit.
Selection Criteria
Submitting interest does not guarantee placement. Vendor selection may take into account:
* Menu quality and fit
* Price point
* Service speed
* Professionalism and communication
* Visual presentation
* Reliability and prior event experience
* Space limitations
* Product mix across the event
* Whether the offering overlaps too heavily with another approved vendor
We may accept different vendors for different nights rather than booking the same lineup for the full season.
Fees and Financial Terms
Final vendor fees will be communicated during the application and booking process. These may vary depending on:
* Type of event
* Vendor category
* Space required
* Power needs
* Length of commitment
* Whether the vendor is serving one date or multiple dates
Any required deposits, payment deadlines, cancellation terms, and refund rules will be outlined in the vendor agreement.
Event-Day Expectations
Approved vendors are expected to:
* Arrive within the assigned load-in window
* Check in with event staff upon arrival
* Be fully set and ready to serve before gates or guest entry
* Stay open during agreed service hours unless sold out or otherwise approved
* Keep noise levels, generators, music, and staff behavior appropriate to the event
* Follow all instructions from event management, site staff, and safety personnel
* Load out only during approved times
Early departure without approval may affect eligibility for future events.
Food and Beverage Notes
Because the Clover Island Concert Series includes coordinated food and beverage operations as part of the overall guest experience, outside vendor participation is curated rather than open-ended. Emerald Spark Events handled food and beverage coordination as part of series operations in 2025, and that same hands-on approach continues into 2026.
That means vendor placement will be based not only on individual quality, but on how each vendor fits the event as a whole.

A Few Realities Worth Knowing
Outdoor events are great, but they are still outdoor events. Weather shifts. Crowd sizes vary. Some nights move fast; some build more gradually. The vendors who do best are usually the ones who stay flexible, communicate clearly, and come prepared.
We want vendors who help the concert feel easy for guests. Good food matters. Quick service matters. A pleasant interaction matters too, perhaps more than people realize.
